The Government of India has approved a major National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy aimed at transforming the country into a global AI powerhouse by 2031. The policy, cleared by the Union Cabinet, includes an investment target of more than ₹10,000 crore and is expected to generate nearly 1.5 lakh jobs across multiple sectors over the coming years.
The new AI policy is considered one of India’s most ambitious technology initiatives, focusing on innovation, digital infrastructure, research, and skill development.
